Who do you say that I am? Jesus asks this question in our reading from Matthew’s gospel and it stirs up a lot of feelings and potential responses for most of us. Do we think about our identity as a child of God? Do we imagine ourselves in the context of our community of faith? Do we land somewhere in our sense of purpose? Do we recall all that God has done for us that we might be freed?
